Processing and interpretation of well-log and vertical seismic profiling (VSP) data are implemented in the vertical sections of the deep boreholes. Processing and automated data interpretation of the standard well logging are performed by functional transformations of geophysical parameters through their integration into the information systems.
This ensures continuity of data processing and analysis, quantitative mutual coordination of all geophysical parameters on the basis of their genetic relationships. According to the collection of these parameters, located in a certain system, the material composition, porosity, bound water content and useful capacity of the reservoir are set, oil and gas saturation reservoirs are estimated, and a number of very important physical characteristics of the geological section are calculated. On this basis, the construction of lithologic and stratigraphic columns and detailed geo-acoustic models in the vertical sections of the drilled section are constructed.
Data processing of the given vertical seismic profile design (VSP) is executed using complex SKOR programs. In the cross-sectional study of a well SKOR determines the velocity characteristics of different type of waves (longitudinal, transverse, exchange), the effective elastic parameters, and the stress state of the real medium
in situ rock mass.
